Why LadderPrep

A Higher Standard for ISEE Math Prep.

A complete, carefully designed learning system that goes beyond the limitations of traditional prep.

Engineered for Learning

Every lesson and practice session has a purpose.

Consistent by Design

Every lesson follows a clear, structured approach—from essential concepts to common mistakes and ISEE-style practice.

Built Around Each Student

The learning experience adapts to the student, not the other way around.

How it works

Learn it on video. Practice it. Repeat until test day.

Short lessons teach each topic from the basics, then practice questions check it.

Video lessons

Every topic, taught from the basics.

From the basics and the usual mistakes to ISEE-style practice. Your child can pause and replay any step.

The weekly plan

Pick the test day. We plan every week until then.

You set the minutes for each study day. The plan fits the lessons into each week and shows whether they finish before the test.

Missed a day? Its work goes first on the next study day; the day doesn't get longer, so later work moves back. The plan shows whether the test date still fits.

For you

You can see how it’s going, without running every session.

Your child studies on their own, and you can check in whenever you like. A short progress email also arrives every Sunday evening.

A missed question

Lesson G6A circle has a circumference of 25.12 meters, calculated using 3.14 for π. What is its diameter, in meters?

Your answer
A · 4
Answer
B · 8
Likely mistake
You may have stopped at a middle step or answered a slightly different question.
Explanation
Undo circumference equals pi times diameter by dividing: 25.12 ÷ 3.14 = 8 meters. This is the diameter when 3.14 is used for π; 4 meters is the radius.

Questions

Who is this course for?
Students applying to grades 7 and 8, usually in grade 6 or 7 now. LadderPrep covers the two ISEE Middle Level math sections only: Quantitative Reasoning and Mathematics Achievement. It does not cover Verbal Reasoning, Reading Comprehension or the Essay.
How much time does it take each week?
You set the minutes for each study day, up to 4 hours a day. A new plan starts at 6 hours a week, Monday to Friday, and quick setup spreads the hours you choose over the days you pick. The plan counts by the week: anything left on a day goes first on the next study day; the day doesn't get longer, so later work moves back.
What if my child gets stuck on a topic?
It happens at school and with tutors too. Here your child can rewatch the part of the lesson that covers it, and a missed practice question explains the likely mistake and links back to that part of the video. Missed questions come back for review two days later. If a topic still doesn’t click, you’ll see it in the progress page and the weekly email, and you can take that lesson to a tutor or teacher.
Should we hire a tutor instead?
Start here first. A tutor’s hour helps most when your child already has the foundations. LadderPrep teaches each topic from the basics, with practice, review and a plan to the test date. If your child wants extra help later, the progress page shows a tutor each lesson’s status and the skills still being learned.
How does the student sign in, and what do I see?
You create the account and add your student, who signs in with a link you send and needs no email address. You get a parent dashboard and a weekly email. Student pages load no ads or third-party trackers.
What is the refund policy?
Ask within 14 days of the payment for your family's full-price enrollment, as long as your child has watched 5 or fewer lesson videos and hasn't started a full-length practice test. Each account email gets one refund request in each 365-day period. If you keep another child enrolled, we refund the additional child's payment, not the full-price one. See the terms
When do the 180 days start, and can we get more time?
180 days from the day your child starts: the first time they watch a lesson video, answer a practice question, or start a quick check or full-length practice test. If they haven't started 90 days after payment, the 180 days start then. Each enrollment can be extended once, by 90 days for $399. Extensions are not refundable, except to correct a charging error on our side.
